In fact, there were no discounts propelling sales on Steam, just straight up demand and interest in the Platinum Game’s latest action title. As of this writing, NieR: Automata is still sitting pretty as the #2 top seller on Steam.
For those looking to pick up a copy on the PS4 version that was recently released, or you’d rather opt for the PC port with better graphic - NieR: Automata are getting deals for both platforms.
On PC, GMG began offering an 18% discount to $49 making it the first web discount and the best price from any authorized Square Enix digital retailer. Though pre-load isn’t available yet, GMG will of course have keys to you before the game goes live next Friday.

At Best Buy you’ll need a $30 Gamers Club Unlocked membership, which is nice if you pre-order or buy many new full price games a year since the membership will eventually pay for itself.
NieR: Automata has been released on the PlayStation 4 on March 7, 2017. It will also be available on the PC for Steam on March 17, 2017.
