After setting the D-League on fire to the tune of 22.4 points and 4.6 assists per game with the Austin Spurs, the Jazz signed Cotton to a multi-year contract on March 16. Known for his ability to space the floor, the feisty guard showcased his leaping ability against the Mavericks on Monday night.

At the start of the second quarter, Cotton handed the ball off to Rodney Hood on the perimeter and used a screen by Jeremy Evans to shake off his defender.

Then he exploded to the basket, caught the ball with his left hand and used all 6-1 of him to throw down a vicious dunk on the Mavericks.

That’s quite the way to introduce yourself to the NBA.
