Each Overwatch hero has a few unique abilities that make them different from the others, with Lucio being able to knock enemies away with his Soundwave ability, which many fans refer to as a “boop.” Lucio players often try to boop their opponents off of the edge of the map to defeat them, as many consider that to be more rewarding than simply shooting them.

Reddit user, BigBonedBobby, uploaded a Play of the Game in which a Lucio player, JahRobo69, defeated the team they fought against during a match in Lijiang Tower, one of Overwatch’s most popular Control maps. In the Garden area of Lijiang Tower, there is a bridge that teams can walk on to get to the point in the center they need to capture, though there are other routes they can take. One team that decided to make their way to the point by going on the bridge was in for a huge surprise as JahRobo69 booped all of them off the map, getting a team kill all on their own.
Before JahRobo69 booped their opponents, they hid behind the wall in between the bridge and the point, watched as an enemy Orisa tried to use their shield to protect the team, then went past it to send Orisa, Roadhog, Soldier 76, Torbjorn, Ana, and Baptiste flying off the bridge. As a result, JahRobo69 earned 59% of Lucio’s ultimate ability Sound Barrier within just a few seconds of the game’s first round.
Many Overwatch fans that have seen the Reddit clip talked about how JahRobo69 managed to do what most Lucio players hope to achieve one day, as booping an entire team is incredibly rare. With the Overwatch 2 beta coming out on April 26 for PC, Lucio players will hopefully have a lot of other amazing plays to share.
