The Quarry is a survival horror game and an interactive drama in one package. Developed by Supermassive Games and published by 2K, it involves traditional horror game elements with the addition of character development, relationships, and other plot elements affected by user choice. The Quarry is a third-person game where the player assumes control over nine different teenagers that need to survive a night at a quarry. Recently, Supermassive Games announced a DLC for The Quarry to celebrate Halloween.
Throughout the game, players are forced to make choices regarding the characters and the surroundings. These choices determine whether the characters are going to survive or not. Also, the story of the game changes as the players choose between different actions during the up to ten-hour gameplay. The Quarry has a total of 186 endings and a Death Rewind mode that allows replaying situations.
In addition to the single-player campaign, The Quarry can be played in both local co-op and online multiplayer. In the local mode, different players take turns controlling their characters, while in online multiplayer seven other players can vote on key choices during the storyline.
The Quarry is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
